PCS faculty member selected as 2015 Yale World Fellow

ISLAMABAD: NDU’s Department of Peace and Conflict Studies Associate Professor Dr. Arshi Saleem Hashmi has been selected as Yale World Fellow 2015.

Dr.Arshi has been selected among 16 mid-career professionals from around the world out of the pool of more than 4500 applications received for this program this year.

It is to be noted that the Yale World Fellow Program was established in 2002 and now has a network of 275 Fellows from 84 countries.

As part of the Yale World Fellowship, Dr.Arshi is currently based at Yale University’s Jackson Institute as Yale World Fellow where she is participating in various discussions and also giving lectures on her expertise.

Talking to this scribe, Dr. Arshi said, “The benefit of such programs is that one is challenged by new circumstances, new discourses and new intellectual interactions.” She also said that this program motivated her to come out of comfort zone and  achieve more in the professional life.
